The Keys to Successful Time Management With FingerCheck

As a manager, no one knows the value of time management more than you. With very little time to dedicate to tasks outside your managerial agenda, you are only as productive as your technology is. FingerCheck was programmed with a variety of shortcuts to reduce the time you spend carrying out day-to-day functions, allowing you to be as efficient as possible. Here are five to start with:

Keep an eye on lateness

If you’d like to identify frequent tardy employees, you don’t have to go hunting through your employees’ individual time cards. Instead, set up exceptions that flag late employees in your dashboard or punch alerts that notify you in real-time via email, text, and push notification.

Always have the current pay cycle show

You may have noticed that whenever you go to your time card tab, you have to manually click through to get to your correct pay cycle. We know it’s frustrating, but you can create a scheduled task that triggers at the close of each payroll period. This means your timesheets will always open on the current pay period (yes, it can be done!).

Check whose at work

Stop asking who’s in the office or out on the roads – you have multiple ways to check whose clocked in! You can go to the Time Card tab and then “Live Status” to view a list of your employees and their clock-in status, or you can go to “Daily Details” on the mobile app. You can also go to the Employee Directory if you are an HR-enabled company, which displays the clock-in status of each employee.

Approve time cards quickly

By going to “Approve Time Card” within the Time Card tab, you can see your entire staff’s time cards within one window. As you review each employee’s time card, simply check the box next to each employee’s name, and when you’re finished reviewing, click “Approve” at the bottom of the screen to approve all.

Make mass time entries in no time

If you want to enter punches and hours, mark employees absent, or even group hours under certain earnings, the Mass Entry feature lets you apply a variety of actions to the employees of your choosing. This sophisticated feature allows you to carry out significantly complex system actions in almost no time.

In order to quickly get work done, it’s vital that you take advantage of every available tool to reduce the time you spend managing your employees. Consider this guide to be your own personal cheat sheet for FingerCheck!
