New Feature: Restrict Mobile Punches Based on Schedule

In response to popular demand, you can now restrict employees from making a mobile punch prior to their scheduled start time. Not only will this ensure that employees don’t punch in ahead of schedule, it allows you to keep costs down. This can be helpful if you’re looking to make sure employees clock in at the start of their shift and no earlier.

When enabled, this feature operates based on the schedules you’ve generated for your employees. Where you generate the schedule, simply check the box “Strict In On Clock” and set strict In times within your employee schedules. When your employees attempt to punch in early, they will receive a pop-up message notifying them of the reason.

This feature allows you to more effectively and efficiently manage your employees. It ensures that you set the rules and employees comply with them. By cutting off the ability to clock in ahead of schedule, employees will be discouraged from coming in too early, and you can keep down costs, avoiding unauthorized early starts.

Be sure to let employees know ahead of time that they won’t be able to make a punch before their scheduled start time. You can explain this as a measure the company is taking in order to stick to the scheduled hours for each employee. If they’d like to come in early, they can ask for permission to do so ahead of time.
