With 2018 just days away, we’re looking back and sharing some of the highlights that made 2017 memorable for Fingercheck. With your support, we’ve grown as a company, and our products and progress reflect the feedback you have given us.
Here’s a look back at 2017 and all that we were able to accomplish:
In 2017 alone, Fingercheck had:
- 37,000,000 Punches
- 1,600,000 Mobile punch selfies
- 130,000 Employees
- Processed half of a BILLION Dollars in gross payroll!
- Cut 350,000 checks
As far as new features go, we conceptualized several innovative features to enhance the experience on both the managerial side and the employee side.
Within payroll alone we added PTO to display on pay stubs, added the ability to bring in external time cards into Fingercheck payroll, introduced a new general ledger integration with Sage 50 (Peachtree), and built a tool that detects when employees are paid less than the minimum wage. We also added an auto-gross up feature that allows you to enter a net pay amount as take-home pay.
On the time and attendance side, we added a time card feature that allows employees to view and approve their time card on the tablet app, added a new time card icon that marks overnight shifts, added the ability to restrict punches based on schedule, and partnered with AT&T to provide better 3G sim cards for GPRS time clocks. We also updated our QuickBooks desktop integration, added the ability to electronically generate job offer letters, and began offering pay-as-you-go workers’ comp with NYSIF.
We also have payroll available for 15 more states than last year: Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Utah, and Wisconsin, making the total number of states supported over 50 percent, with 28 states covered. If you live in a non-supported state, let us know you’re interested in trying our full solution at info@fingercheck.com.
On a more personal note, our organization has grown immensely. We almost doubled our team this year and moved to a spacious new headquarters at the beginning of the year to accommodate the growth. and have more staff than ever before. We’re bringing our numbers up to meet demand, and are excited about what’s to come in 2018.
Among our big plans is the execution of a new and completely redesigned UI. This update will deliver a new and improved layout for both our mobile app and our web interface that is more intuitive and appealing. We’ve taken your feedback into consideration and can’t wait to debut our new UI. We also plan to roll out payroll to even more states.
Thank you for your patience and business in 2017. Please email us at info@fingercheck.com to let us know how we’ve been doing, and have a happy and prosperous 2018!
