Christian Kunkel, Fingercheck’s Head of Marketing, recently spoke to Eamonn O’Brien of Pathmonk’s Growth Marketing Show about his role in marketing and how Fingercheck makes life easier for business owners.
Here’s a quick recap of their conversation, “Delivering Comprehensive Value through Strategic Decision-Making.”
As Christian rightly says, Fingercheck, is a comprehensive payroll, and HR platform that empowers small businesses by automating repetitive or manual tasks.
It’s like your trusty sidekick that helps small businesses turbocharge their operations. How? By taking all those repetitive, time-heavy tasks and putting them on autopilot.
So, small businesses get to work smarter, not harder. They can channel their energy into what truly matters for their growth while Fingercheck handles the rest. It’s all about making life easier and businesses stronger! 💪🚀
Give workers access to their earned wages
Earned wage access (EWA) is one area where business owners are embracing forward-thinking policies that help the business and employees. EWA lets employees access a portion of their income ahead of their fixed payday.
Fingercheck’s solution for EWA is Pay On-Demand.
“It’s really giving any worker, any employee, more financial control over what they’ve earned already,” Christian says.
Eamonn recognizes Pay On-Demand as a win-win for employers and employees. And it’s something that positions Fingercheck nicely in the payroll and HR space.
Fingercheck doesn’t have niches. Instead, it focuses on all small businesses. Small business owners have to do payroll, taxes or HR. And that takes a lot of time.
“We’re looking for the small business owner who wants to eliminate admin time from their day and focus on growing their business,” Christian says. Essentially, we want to be the medicine every small business owner takes to eliminate their payroll and HR headaches, he says.
Use the website for conversions and leads
As for his favorite demand-gen tool? The website is your 24/7 salesperson and when built correctly, is any marketer’s best tool for capturing attention and converting that into leads, he says.
Fingercheck’s growth strategy has revolved around optimizing the website to cater to time-constrained small business owners, he says.
And that’s one reason behind the decision to undertake a massive website redesign earlier this year. The goal was to remove conversion blockers and create a website that aligns with the small business owner’s journey.
When he joined Team Fingercheck in November 2022, the website didn’t deliver value propositions, benefits, or costs clearly.
“We struggled with high bounce rates and low conversions,” Christian says of the site. “The team at What Else worked their magic, breathing life into our ideas, transforming our messaging and design – helping us build a design system setup for growth.” Read about the redesign here.
“We’re really in the business of making small business owners and their businesses stronger because our product is built to help them make their businesses easier, so they can grow faster,” Christian says.
