No business is alike and every employer has their own way of doing things, especially when it comes to handling holiday pay.
With Memorial Day having passed recently, FingerCheck created customization options to meet the holiday arrangements of our clients. Now, administrators can easily program conditional rules into their holiday policies to pay employees holiday pay only under specific circumstances.
These customizations were first made to fulfill the desired Memorial Day arrangements of some of our clients.
The two new fields, “Pay Only if Worked Day” and “Pay Only if Scheduled Day” allow you to specify holiday pay to be given only if an employee worked the day before/after the holiday, and/or if they were scheduled to work the day before/ after the holiday.
The logic varies, but many employers have their own rules about compensating employees, so these new conditions will allow them to quickly create a policy that matches their specifications.
Employers can now create a complex and dimensional rule that is able to make the distinction between different employee arrangements and pay them accordingly. If you’re new to holiday policy-making, click here to learn how to build a holiday policy.
FingerCheck is a highly customizable solution and keeps adding new features to offer clients the most value and choice in their abilities. We hope our added holiday policy functionality will be of great use for you and your business.
