Not all businesses who wish to record their employees’ worked time want their employees to physically clock in/out using FingerCheck’s biometric punching or any other method of punching.

After many requests from employers to incorporate manual time logging within our employee time clock software, approved employees can now digitally enter their hours online using FingerCheck.

Employees who are given time card editing rights will be able to make punch entries directly into their own time card by going to the Time Card tab and clicking into their time card. As industry professionals in the time tracking marketplace, it is in our best interest to accommodate all different types of company arrangements with our employee time clock software.

Since the government states that employers can legally have workers write their own times on the records, we sought to simplify the process. Employers can enable this feature by making an employee security role and ticking the “Edit Time Card” field in role rights.

Once the role has been created, they can then assign that role to the security user (employee) you would like to give editing access to.

Once that’s done, all the employees the role has been applied to will be able to go to their own time card and enter and edit punches. This new feature allows employees to document their time worked directly within FingerCheck and makes the record-keeping process simpler for both parties.
